2010 Twin Cities Days-Blood Drive Jefferson County Community Partnership has partnered with the Mississippi Regional Blood Center to conduct a blood drive during the 2010 Twin City Days celebration on September 11, 2010 in Festus-Crystal City. Last year we collected 13 units and as a result of those donations, it enabled the Blood Center to meet the blood needs of 39 people. This year we would like to try and at least double those collections.
Blood is needed for emergencies and for people who have cancer, blood disorders, sickle cell, anemia and other illnesses. Some people need regular blood transfusions to live. Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation. One of the MVRBC Donor buses pictured above will be at the Show Me Rent-to-Own parking lot at 100 N. Truman Blvd., Crystal City, MO from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
We are asking people to make appointments in advance if possible.
