Hammers of Hope is a collaborative effort between
JCCP and Disability Resource Association.
Vision Statement: A source of hope for homeowners in time of desperate repair needs.
Mission Statement: To be a safety net that provides free home repairs focused on safety and comfort issues to low-income families, seniors, and persons with disabilities, who have exhausted all available assistance options and have lost all hope.
In 2008 our programs completed 19 different projects and in 2009 with the help of our many volunteers and donors, we were able to complete over 30 different types of home improvement projects for people in need or provide accessibility to ones with disabilities.
In 2010 we will attempt to reach a goal of 40 projects and that will only be possible with your continued support.
Hammers of Hope still has a long list of people who need services. While money has become a factor, having enough volunteers to do the work is still the most daunting task. We are looking for teams of volunteers to do a number of job requests that come into our office on a regular basis. Persons, churches, or businesses interested in being a part of this community outreach should contact Project Coordinator Dennis Murphy at 636-464-5144 X 15 or by e-mail at coordinator@jccp.org.
