Life Changing Stories
June 10, 2009
Thank you Rebuilding Together for the opportunity to work with you this year. I was very impressed with the organization and how they care so much for the low income and disabled homeowner. I was deeply touched by all the volunteers who came that day and worked together to make my mother’s home safe.
Since my stepfathers death 2 years ago I have been worried about how long she would be able to stay in her home because of all the repairs needed, which were to overwhelming for myself and the rest of the family to take on financially and no time to get them done. On May 2, 2009, my mother got a new home and a new outlook on life. She has a smile on her face and she wants to have company over now to show off her updated home. We set out to do a lot of things and by the end of the day we had a lot done.
The family finished the rest but we would not have been able to do that without your help and the help of local businesses that donated material and labor. I look forward to working as a volunteer when I can, even Mom wants to help! Thank you Jaimie (House Captain), and all the volunteers for your hard work and care.
Sincerely,
