Give Kids a Smile

is a national program sponsored by the ADA, serves to provide dental care for children in need at no cost.

JCCP hosts this event for its local community annually. Local dentists, hygienists, assistants, and other community volunteers get involved for a day of free check-ups, cleanings, and restorative care.

The 2009 event was held on May 2 and 9, at Allied College in Fenton, Precision Dental Care in Imperial, Brookwood Dental Center in Fenton, and DeCo Dental in Fenton. Ten dentists and their staff volunteered their time over the two-day, four-location event to provide free dental care. Over 100 dental and non-dental volunteers helped out during the event, and $19,287 worth of dental care was donated. In total, 44 Jefferson County children were served.
