Air Conditioner Program
Each year, Hammers of Hope and Jefferson County Community Partnership team up with Ameren Electric to distribute window air conditioner units to those in need through the "Cool Down Jefferson County" program.
Requirements for Eligibility

Are you without air conditioning in your home?

Must be a Jefferson County, Missouri resident

Must be a senior citizen or have a chronic medical condition

Must provide the following documentation:

Proof of Income (Social Security Benefit letter, SSI, Child Support, 2 months’ paycheck stubs, Food Stamps, etc.)

ID (driver’s license)

2 months of most recent bank statements

Proof of residency (typically utility bill mailed to you)

Applications can be completed over the phone, call 636-465-0983 x 103, or you can print out an application and bring it with you when you pick up the air conditioner unit.

Air conditioners can be scheduled for pick up at the office of JCCP, 3875 Plass Road, Building A, Festus, Missouri between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm after required documentation is reviewed and approved.
