Home Repair Program

Providing health/safety related repairs to Jefferson County homeowners in Need

The Hammers of Hope program is designed to provide low-income homeowners improved safety, independence, accessibility, and a healthier home.  Often funding is limited for low-income elderly and disabled Jefferson County Missouri homeowners with health and safety repair needs.  

Applicants must not have the means or ability to do the work themselves.

  • HOH is not an emergency repair service

  • HOH does not do repair to roofs

  • HOH does not work on septic systems  

Eligibility Requirements:
(additional requirements may apply) 

  • Must be a Jefferson County, Missouri resident

  • Must have owned and lived in your home for the past three years

  • Income cannot exceed 200% of the federal poverty level

  • Property Taxes must be paid up to date

  • Must complete application in full and provide required documentation

    • Proof of all Income sources (SSI, SSDI, Child Support, Pension, Alimony, 2 months’ Wages, Food Stamps, etc.)

    • Valid ID (driver’s license)

    • 2 months of most recent bank statements

    • Homeowners insurance declarations
