Home Repair Program

Providing health and safety related repairs to Jefferson County Missouri

low-income homeowners in need.

 

The Hammers of Hope program is designed to provide low-income homeowners improved safety, independence, accessibility,

and/or a healthier home.  

Repairs must be of a health or safety related need.

  • Hammers of Hope is NOT an emergency repair service, there is an application process with income verification.

  • Hammers of Hope does NOT repair roofs

  • Hammers of Hope does NOT work on septic systems​

Eligibility Requirements:
(additional requirements may apply) 

  • Must be a Jefferson County, Missouri resident

  • Must have owned and lived in your home for the past three years

  • Income cannot exceed 185% of the federal poverty level

  • Property Taxes must be paid up to date

  • Must complete application in full and provide required documentation

    • Proof of all Income sources (SSI, SSDI, Child Support, Pension, Alimony, 2 months’ Wages, Food Stamps, etc.)

    • Valid ID (driver’s license)

    • 2 months of most recent bank statements

    • Homeowners insurance declarations
